👤 KEYNOTE SPEAKER PROFILE 👤
Mike Commodore

Mike had an incredibly successful NHL career starting with the New Jersey Devils, who drafted him in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft in the second round. After playing there, Mike was traded to the Anaheim Ducks, and then moved almost immediately after to the hometown Calgary Flames, where he was a key part of the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals appearance. Following that, Mike was moved to the Carolina Hurricanes, where he won a Stanley Cup after defeating the Edmonton Oilers (thanks for that Mike). On top of winning hockey’s greatest trophy, Mike also won an IIHF World Championship in 2007. After finishing his career with the Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning and finally a brief stint with Admiral Vladivistok of the Kontinental Hockey League, Mike retired and took on other endeavours. He made significant contributions to countless charities in various cities throughout and after his playing career. His most impressive contribution came when he summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 2016 for the Duskin & Stephens Foundation.

Nowadays, Mike has a strong presence on Twitter (), where you can find his comedic commentary on hockey and other sports.

Mike brings valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the NHL and the general sports world, and we are extremely excited to hear what he has to say.
