But relationships are complicated and sometimes we find ourselves in vulnerable places, disconnected from those who matter most. Kindred’s purpose is to realize the power of human connection, and it shapes everything we do. Whether nuclear or chosen, family is the most important relationship

in a person’s life. So, we invest in the special bond between children and those that care for them. We provide road maps toward healing when essential relationships are ruptured. Through Louise Dean Centre, Kindred, the Calgary Board of Education, and Alberta Health Services provide a supportive learning environment for pregnant and parenting students.

With guidance from teachers, childcare educators, health professionals, and support workers, Louise Dean Centre offers students the opportunity to continue their education while building a healthy future for themselves and their children.

Construction is progressing, and we're one step closer to creating a space designed to better serve children, youth, and families across Calgary. This new location will help us expand access to supports, strengthen community connections, and create new opportunities for our clients and partners.
