Good day, Cambridge Bay,

During the cleaning process, water supply and water delivery may be temporarily delayed or interrupted. Residents are encouraged to:

This maintenance is essential to ensure the continued delivery of safe, clean, and high-quality drinking water.

Boil Water Advisory

Out of an abundance of caution, the Department of Health is advising all residents of Cambridge Bay to boil their water before consumption until further notice. This precautionary advisory has been issued while maintenance work is being carried out on the community water supply system.

During the advisory, all water intended for consumption must be brought to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before use.

Water must be boiled for the following purposes:
• Drinking
• Preparing infant formula
• Preparing juices and making ice cubes
• Washing fruits and vegetables
• Cooking
• Brushing teeth
Water can be boiled in a pot or kettle on a stove, or in an electric kettle that does not have an automatic shut-off before reaching a rolling boil.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this important cleaning work is completed.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTFOR

The Hamlet of Cambridge Bay Municipal Services crews are beginning our annual dust suppression program on gravel roads in the community. This program improves road visibility, protects vehicles, and lowers health risks from airborne dust.

On Monday, June 29, 2026, crews will begin applying DUST/BLOKR® Dust Suppressant.

Unlike traditional salt-based treatments, DUST/BLOKR® is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and non-corrosive liquid consisting of natural ingredients specifically engineered for haul roads and access roads.

What Residents Need to Know
- Drive Slowly: Reduce your speed on freshly treated roads to protect the application.

- Expect Sticky Roads: Fresh treatments can be tacky and may stick to tires.

- Eco-Friendly Shield: The product is non-toxic and non-corrosive to vehicles.

- Give Crews Space: Yield to application trucks and maintenance equipment.
