Boil Water Advisory
Out of an abundance of caution, the Department of Health is advising all residents of Cambridge Bay to boil their water before consumption until further notice. This precautionary advisory has been issued while maintenance work is being carried out on the community water supply system.
During the advisory, all water intended for consumption must be brought to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before use.
Water must be boiled for the following purposes:
• Drinking
• Preparing infant formula
• Preparing juices and making ice cubes
• Washing fruits and vegetables
• Cooking

Water can be boiled in a pot or kettle on a stove, or in an electric kettle that does not have an automatic shut-off before reaching a rolling boil.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this important cleaning work is completed.
