PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
– On behalf of Statistics Canada

A team from Statistics Canada is currently in Cambridge Bay to complete the 2026 Census.

We would like to welcome Aryelle, Sarah, Richard, Sara, and Sylvain from Statistics Canada, who will be in the community until the end of April. They will be going door-to-door and are available to assist residents who may need help completing their census.

You may also find them at the Co-op, GN & Hamlet building this week between.

Why the Census Matters
By completing your census, you are helping provide accurate and reliable information that supports important decisions affecting our community. This includes planning for:
• Employment opportunities
• Schools and education
• Healthcare services
• Infrastructure and community programs

Most importantly, census data directly impacts the level of funding received by the Government of Nunavut, and ultimately, what is allocated to communities like Cambridge Bay.

Your participation matters. Your voice counts.

Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting the future of our community!

Residents must ensure that the route to their property is clear and accessible for water, sewage, and garbage trucks. If access to your tank or bins is blocked by snow or ice, municipal services may not be delivered.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our workers safe and ensuring services can continue without interruption. Thank you.
