This morning, four of our Local 1668 crew headed over to Cedar Elementary School for their Pancake Breakfast — and they brought something extra with them.

Proud to share that IAFF Local 1668 made a $500 donation to support this event, because putting our money where our heart is matters just as much as showing up. And show up they did.

Wearing their orange shirts alongside students, staff, and families Capt Stewart Dumont, FF Jared MacNeil, Probie FF Tyson Dumont, and Dispatcher Mackenzie Dumont were proud to stand in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Because showing up for our community means showing up for all of our community — in every way that matters.

To the students and staff at Cedar Elementary — thank you for welcoming our crew and for the reminder that the most important lessons aren't always in the classroom. 🏫❤️

Every child matters. Every person matters. Every community matters. 🧡

🚒❤️ A CAMPBELL RIVER FIRST ❤️🚒

For the first time in Campbell River Fire Department history, a father and son are sharing a shift together (25/09/26) — and if that wasn't special enough, their daughter and sister was working dispatch that very same day. 🎙️

There's something about the fire service that gets into your blood. It gets passed down at the dinner table, in the driveway washing the truck, and in the quiet moments where a kid watches their parent head out the door to serve this community. Today, that pride didn't just come full circle — it filled the whole building.

To Capt. Stewart Dumont, Tyson and Mackenzie— thank you for reminding us why this job means so much. You make Local 1668 proud. 👨‍👧‍👦🔥

This is what family looks like. This is what community looks like.

Thank you the members of the , and who helped us make the 4th annual Memorial Stair Climb a success. Members climbed the equivalent of the 110 floors of the World Trade Center, in honour of the 343 firefighters, 60 police officers and thousands of civilians who lost their lives 25 years ago.

Also, a big thank you to the community for helping us raise money for the foundation.

We will always remember.
