- First night in our new house in Campbell River was Dec 31, 1999. I have daughter-in-law Kelsey and a 4 year old grandson Owen.

My children and I joined my husband Dan (of now 27 years) when he was transferred here from Kitimat by DFO to the Quinsam Hatchery, where he is currently the Operations Manager.
- My son Sean is 25, my daughter Amy is 21. I am fortunate that they have been able to all stay in Campbell River to build their lives.
- I graduated from high school in Salmon Arm in 1983 and then completed a certificate

in Business Administration at NIC in 2002.
- Up until recently I was employed as a Financial Service Coordinator at BMO Bank of Montreal.
- I am currently choosing to spend most of my time doing community based work with my role in the school district and also contract work in the area of organization, policy development and governance structures.
- I became active in the community in 2003-2004 as a parent advocate during the Robron/Rockland school closure process and through that time decided to run for the position of Trustee on the Campbell River Board of Education in the 2005 election where I was successful. Professional:
Board of Education
- Elected for 3 consecutive terms, the last 3 years as board chair and the 4 years prior to that as the Vice Chair.
- Chaired the SD72 Audit Committee
- Core Pro D liaison
- Board representative to District Parent Advisory Committee
- Executive member of Vancouver Island School Trustees Association.
- Elected representative from SD 72 to the BCSTA Provincial Council, where I was appointed to individual committees such as the Provincial Conflict of Interest Task Force.
- Lead the board over the past three years in full governance discussions and policy amendments.
- Collaborated discussion for budget development of a $50 million budget and responsible for meeting legal responsibilities around submissions of a balanced budget.
- Lead stakeholder discussion, developed and completed a five year strategic plan to provide guidance for the district.
- Experience with labour disputes, i.e.: Job action between BCTF, BCPSEA and the Provincial Government 2014, Free collective bargaining processes and the role of organized labour within the corporate sector. City of Campbell River
- Co-Chair along with the Mayor’s office; quarterly Joint Liaison Committee between the School District and the City
- Chaired the Olympic Torch Relay Committee for the City of Campbell River from January 2008 to November 2009 when the Olympic Torch passed through our City
- Chaired the Sustainable official Community Plan for the City of Campbell River.
- Chaired the Public Consultation meeting for the Municipal Alcohol Policy Committee.
