Volunteer Campbell River VOLUNTEER CAMPBELL RIVER IS NOW CLOSED. Conducts one-on-one evaluations with volunteers to determine their skills, needs and interests.

In pursuit of our mission, the Volunteer Centre:

Maintains a central registry for all member agencies and individuals engaged in volunteer activities in the community. Operates a recruitment and referral service for volunteers and acts as a liaison between member agencies and volunteers. In partnership with the Campbell River RCMP, provides criminal record checks for prospective volunteers. Maint

ains a resource library for use by member agencies and volunteers. Provides ongoing educational opportunities for volunteers and member agencies. Acts as an advocate for volunteer rights!

If you wish to become a volunteer, please contact the agency you wish to volunteer with. They will assist you with applications and information.

If you are seeking a police information check or vulnerable sector check in order to volunteer, connect with the agency you wish to
volunteer for. They will provide you with the information and paperwork you need to complete your information check.

If you are seeking your police information check at the local RCMP detachment, as of Jan. 1. 2024, there is a $10 fee. Contact the agency you wish to volunteer with about possible reimbursement for this charge.

It is with sadness that Volunteer Campbell River will be closing its doors as of Jan. 10, 2024.

We are very pleased to announce however that the BETTER AT HOME PROGRAM WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY. We will announce a new location and host agency in the coming weeks.
