Notice of Special Meeting of Council

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of Council has been called for the purpose of holding a Closed Session Meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held to consider a matter relating to litigation or potential litigation, in accordance with Section 239(2)(e) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

🏆 Trent Hills Public Works staff are shining at the 2026 Northumberland Roadeo!

Congratulations to Jeff Nielsen on an outstanding first-place finish! Jeff scored more than 50 points ahead of the competition and has earned the opportunity to represent Trent Hills and Northumberland County once again at the Provincial Championship. 👏

We’re also proud to recognize Cody Fisher, one of our newer Public Works team members, who competed in his first Roadeo. Cody showed impressive skill, confidence, professionalism, and determination while tackling the event’s challenging obstacles. 🚧

This achievement is a reflection of the expertise, dedication, and commitment to safety demonstrated by our entire Public Works team every day. Thank you for the important work you do to keep our roads, infrastructure, and community safe.

🚰 2026 Fire Hydrant Flushing Program

The Municipality of Trent Hills will be conducting fire hydrant flushing and flow testing in the urban centres of Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth as part of our annual maintenance program.

💧 Customers may experience discoloured water during flushing. If this occurs, please refrain from doing laundry or using hot water until the water clears.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as our Municipal Water Staff complete this important maintenance work.

Update: 40 Bridge Street North, Hastings

Over the past several months, the Municipality of Trent Hills has been working toward the redevelopment of the municipal property located at 40 Bridge Street North in Hastings.

The goal is to support residential development on the site. As the property is being considered for a change in use, it is subject to the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act. To meet these requirements, Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments have been completed.

Based on the results of these assessments, additional testing will need to be undertaken to prepare the necessary documentation for submission to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation & Parks.

While this testing is underway, a portion of the fencing will be moved to part of the Hastings Arena Lands to be used for public parking.
