Bill Hennessy has died in Fredericton. He was our Victoria St. neighbour, along with his parents Helen and Ned and brother O’Leary they were a lovely family. He once told me my brother Steven was his first friend, they enjoyed each other’s company, lots of hockey, cubs, scouts, music and laughter. We all went to AAC (the Academy) and Bill kept the class in stitches including this comic pose in the class picture. Rest in Peace Bill. 🥀

Gordon Lightfoot was an important part of Steve’s repertoire, I’d often request The Canadian Railroad Trilogy. I saw Gord at Place Des Arts in Montréal a decade ago, he was already frail but in good voice with an excellent band. RIP Gordon Lightfoot. 🌹

By the time of the fourth photo, our father had died and Steven and our Grandfather were the father figures. He quietly accomplished that role, being a wise brother plus hosting many Christmas 🎄 events (and sing 🎶 alongs)!
Merry Christmas in the cosmos Steve!
