A little September Recap!🥳

September was such a fun way to kick off the school year! From welcoming new and returning students during Welcome Week to enjoying live music at B**r and Bands, we loved seeing everyone come together and make the most of the first few weeks! A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made these events so memorable! We hope you had just as much fun as we did, and we can’t wait for everything else this school year has in store! 🖤❤️

Do you have a talent you’ve been wanting to show off? Well, here’s your chance! Whether it’s singing, dancing, or something completely different, we would love to see what you’ve got!
And the best part? There are cash prizes to be won!

A little extra support can go a long way! Link down below⬇️
Did you know that Augustana has a Food Hamper Program available to current Augustana students? Whether you’re looking to save a little on groceries or could use some extra support this month, this program is here to help! 🛒✨Each hamper includes a variety of non-perishable food items, with a $25 grocery gift card available to help purchase fresh produce.
🗓️October’s application deadline: October 12th
📦 Distribution: Once a month
A few things to remember:
🥫 Apply using your UAlberta email.
🛍️ Bring your own bags when picking up your hamper.
🪪 Have your OneCard ready for student verification.
📧 Accepted individuals will receive an email to schedule their pickup!
Everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we are here to help if you need a little extra support.❤️
Interested in giving back? Non-perishable food donations are also welcome at the ASA office!
Apply through the Food Hamper Program request form before October 12th!

This week’s Talk Tuesday is all about continuing the conversation. 🧡

We had the honour of sitting down with Elder Myrna to learn more about what Truth and Reconciliation really means, why it matters, and how we can continue to learn and contribute beyond September 30th. A huge thank you to Elder Myrna for taking the time to sit with us and share her knowledge with our Augustana community. 🧡

Truth and Reconciliation is more than one day, it’s an ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and understanding.
