Renfrew has historically won this event. Lanark County residents are doing a fabulous job logging their exercise and we have jumped into an early lead.

TRAIL MAINTENANCE REMINDER

Please note Lanark County will be applying calcium chloride to sections of the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail (OVRT) and Tay-Havelock Trail for dust suppression during the weeks of June 8 to 12 and June 15 to 19, 2026. The calcium chloride is diluted with water. It can cause some dryness on animal paws, but a quick rinse after exposure will reduce the chance of dry paws.

The trails will remain open during the process.

I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Andrassy on Friday, after I did my Waterside visit. He says that he loves the staff at Waterside - A VIVA Retirement Community, as they always treat him very well.

Good morning Carleton Place.

Please take a moment on DDay (82nd anniversary) to remember the nearly 100 Carleton Place citizens who gave their lives, so that we in town and across our great country could live a life in peace.

The cenotaph at Memorial Park is inscribed with the names of everyone local, who died during WW1, WW2 and Korea. What isn’t inscribed are the hundreds that came home broken and dealing with the horrors of war.

Please remember them all and be thankful for their sacrifices.

Join us as we pay tribute to our Veterans with the stirring sound of the pipes at the Veterans Memorial Park Cenotaph.

🇨🇦 Beginning Friday, June 26th at 6:00 p.m. and continuing every Friday throughout the summer, local pipers will perform in honour of those who have served our country.
