The Carman and Community Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization, incorporated on July 10, 1969. Membership fees are utilized towards operation

Our membership comprises of over 120 businesses and organizations in Carman and the surrounding area. OUR OBJECTIVES:

to promote through its members, the progress and development of Carman and surrounding area, in order to make them better places in which we live, work, and play,

to unite the local chamber members in order to pursue matters of common interest,

to increase the efficiency of cham

ber members and to promote mutual cooperation between the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce and ourselves,

to promote the agricultural, civic, commercial, industrial, and other general interests of the Carman region,

to develop and present informed views and opinions, on behalf of chamber members to any and all appropriate situations,

to maintain and extend a vigorous and integrated chamber of commerce movement. In an evolving society, we strive to service our membership.

🏴‍☠️ Calling All Young Pirates — There’s Treasure to Be Found! 🗺️

Our Kids Treasure Hunt is coming to World Rivers Day on Saturday, September 12, and this year we’re sending our young adventurers on a hunt through downtown Carman!

From 12:00–3:00 PM, kids can pick up their FREE Treasure Hunt sheet at Ryall Park and set off to explore our local business community.

We’ve hidden 15 different pirate symbols in the windows of participating businesses throughout town. Each business has a different symbol — maybe a treasure chest, pirate hook, compass, parrot, pirate flag or another piece of pirate loot!

- Visit the businesses listed and search their windows
- Find the pirate symbol hidden at each location

Find all 15 and return your completed sheet!

And there’s some treasure waiting at the end! 🎁

We’ll draw TWO WINNERS from the completed entries, and each will receive a basket of goodies purchased from our amazing local businesses!

It’s completely FREE to participate and a great way for kids and families to have some fun while exploring and supporting our local business community.

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, Carman — it’s officially September, which means World Rivers Day is only 12 DAYS AWAY! ⚓

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 12 and get ready for an afternoon of pirate adventures, family fun and plenty happening throughout Ryall Park and downtown Carman!

Here’s a look at what’s planned:

🏴‍☠️ Pirate Poker Derby – 11 AM–3 PM | $10/hand
🗺️ Landlubbers’ Poker Derby – 12–3 PM | $10/hand
🚗 Wheels Car Show – 12–4 PM | 1st St. SW
🔎 Kids Treasure Hunt – 12–3 PM
🏰 Pirate Ship Bouncy Castle – 1–4 PM
🛍️ Young Makers & Community Market – 12–4 PM
🍴 Food available throughout the day- Carman Handi-van will be cooking up smokies and burgers and Cucina Filipinas will be on site with their delicious cuisine.
🏆 Prize Presentations – 4 PM

And when the daytime adventures wrap up, the fun continues at the Carman Legion Pirate Pub, with live music by Travis Barre beginning at 6:30 PM! 🎶🍻

Over the next 12 days, we’ll be highlighting the different activities and sharing everything you need to know to take part.

🍟 Poutine Week is Taking a Little Break in 2026! 🍟

Our annual Poutine Week has become a favorite in Carman, but this year we’ve made the decision to put the event on hold and give our local restaurant scene a little time to catch up.

With fewer restaurants currently operating in Carman, we want to make sure that when we host one of our food weeks, there are enough participants to create the fun, variety and friendly competition that make these events so successful.

We know Poutine Week has historically been a GREAT week for our participating restaurants, and we definitely don’t want to see it disappear — this is just a one-year pause!

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to continue getting out and supporting our amazing local restaurants. They’re an important part of our community, and every meal, coffee, takeout order and night out makes a difference. ❤️

And don’t worry… we’re already looking ahead to 2027, with plans for Burger Week in the spring and Poutine Week back in the fall! 🍔🍟

Sometimes you have to skip a helping of poutine to make room for an even bigger one next year! 😉

🌟 Young Entrepreneurs in Action! 🌟

It’s been a great week in Carman as Community Futures Heartland hosted their Kids Biz Camp, giving some of our youngest entrepreneurs the chance to learn what it takes to turn an idea into a business!

A big thank you to Community Futures Heartland for bringing this opportunity to Carman and investing in our next generation of business owners.

The Chamber was happy to be part of the week by providing lunch for the campers one day and helping get them around town in the Chamber Shuttle as they visited local businesses and learned firsthand from our business community.

Thank you to all of the local businesses who welcomed these young entrepreneurs through their doors, shared their knowledge and helped make their experience a great one — including Boyne River Bistro, pictured here!

And now it’s time for the campers to put everything they’ve learned into action!

🎬 Lights, Camera… Carman! 🎬

Just a heads-up for anyone travelling through downtown today!

1st Avenue SW and a portion of 1st Street SW to Main Street South, will be closed today while a movie production films scenes for an upcoming Christmas movie.

Please use alternate routes and avoid parking in the affected area while filming is taking place. The production crew will be on site throughout the day, and the road is expected to reopen once filming and cleanup are complete this evening.

Thank you for your patience as we help showcase our beautiful community on the big screen! We can’t wait to see Carman featured in the finished film. 🎥✨

Wow… what a parade!

The 2026 Carman Country Fair Parade was truly one for the books, and we think it’s safe to say it was our best parade yet!

With over 90 parade entries, this year’s event was filled with incredible community spirit, outstanding creativity, and an amazing variety of floats, vehicles, performers, community groups, businesses, and organizations. The time, effort, and imagination that went into each entry did not go unnoticed and was appreciated by the thousands of spectators who lined the streets.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and came out to cheer along the route. Events like this are only possible because of the incredible people who make our community so special.

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did, and we’re already looking forward to making next year’s parade even bigger and better!

The countdown is on!

The 2026 Carman Country Fair Parade is less than a week away, and we can’t wait to see our streets filled with floats, music, community spirit, and smiling faces!

The parade gets underway on Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 AM.

We’ve included a map of the parade route with this post so you can plan the perfect spot to watch all the action. Be sure to arrive a little early, bring a lawn chair, and get ready for one of Carman’s favourite summer traditions!

We look forward to seeing everyone along the route as we celebrate another fantastic Carman Country Fair Parade!

The 2026 Carman Country Fair Parade is set for Saturday, July 11th, 2026 at 10:00 AM — and we are officially accepting parade entries!

Businesses, community groups, sports teams, schools, families, and organizations are all encouraged to join the fun and be part of one of Carman’s favorite summer traditions.

Whether you go all out with a float, decorate vehicles, or simply gather a fun group to walk the route, we would love to have you participate!
