Grade 2s have been learning about Living things in Science.

We watched caterpillars go into a chrysalis, come out as monarch butterflies and then released them.

We planted seeds and are watching them germinate and grow.

And we were lucky to have farm eggs donated by one of our students, and two chicks hatched today.

Our favorite quote from one of the students as he pet the chicks was “I just feel so alive!” Science is engaging and exciting at CES!

We collected approximately 230 lbs of tabs for Tabs for Tots at CES! Thank you to Greg from the Elks for organizing and running the program. We appreciate the community support from all of the students and families who collected and brought in tabs. The winning class was Ms. Wayne’s class with just over 50 lbs collected so they will win a class pizza party! Congratulations 3D!
