Carstairs Fire Department Carstairs Volunteer Fire Department serves the town and surrounding Mountain View County. Carstairs Fire Dept.

We respond to all sorts of calls including First response medical calls, motor vehicle accidents, alarms ringing, and of course fires. is staffed by approximately 30 volunteers from the Carstairs area.

We are pleased to announce that five of our firefighters received new helmets last week.
Our 2025 recruit class got their black helmets, signifying completion of their probation requirements. A new status change as a full-fledged Carstairs firefighters! Congratulations team!!
