We were blessed with beautiful weather out west in Ya Ha Tinda. Elder Marvin Goodon, Clare Butterfly, and Dakota Bauder shared their knowledge with us. While stew and bannock cooked over the fire, we took part in some tipi teachings. We followed up lunch with a hike to a mountain valley, where we listened, learned, and shared tea around the fire.

Teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving were on full display in our Community Options class!

As part of learning valuable leadership skills, students have been taking part in a variety of team-building challenges. In this activity, teams were given a limited number of sticks, one metre of string, and one metre of tape to design and build a sturdy structure capable of holding a marshmallow on top.

It was amazing to see the collaboration, communication, and innovative thinking that went into each design. Great work, everyone!
