🍂 As the autumn sun sets over the LM Montgomery's beloved Cavendish Homestead, another season has come to a close. 🍂

The paths are growing quiet, the leaves quietly dance where Maud once walked, and this little Haunt of Ancient Peace is preparing for its winter slumber.

It has been such a wonderful season filled with kindreds from around the world. We loved hearing your stories and so loved making new friends and, best of all, watching visitors discover the beauty and peace of the place Maud once called home. 💚

Thank you to everyone who visited the site. We are very thankful for you all and hope to see uou again 💕

Sept 29, 1910

Today I received a very bright, amusing, interesting letter from a girl of 16 in faraway Australia. It was a pleasure to read. I get so many such letters-2 or 3 almost every day. Some of them are lovely, all are kind but some are rather monotonous. So far I have answered all with a note at least but I am finding it a good deal of a tax. In future I must make post-cards do duty instead. But the little Australian must have a real good answer to hers. What a small big world it is! And how far little red-haired Anne has travelled!

Follow Montgomery’s footsteps by taking a wagon ride along a route that she travelled in 1910!

$60.00 per person. Admission to Orwell Corner Historic Village included! The program runs 1:00 - 3:30 PM.

This program is intended for adult audiences, but children over 7 are allowed with supervision. Groups welcome. Costumes also welcome but not required!

Cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled event.
