Spring is here which means it is almost time for Green Gables Heritage Place to open for the 2026 season!

The site will be open daily beginning May 1st from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. If May is not soon enough, you can visit by special appointment from April 15 until April 30. * Fees apply.

Walk through the famous Green Gables House, roam along the trails that once inspired L.M. Montgomery, and tour the exhibits that showcase the author and her famous literary works.

Today, we lift our hearts and spirits to celebrate the wonderful, courageous, and endlessly imaginative women who inspire us on International Women’s Day.

At Green Gables Heritage Place, hearts are forever stirred by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Her words bestowed upon the world the incomparable Anne Shirley, that tempest of imagination who believed, with every fibre of her vibrant soul, in kindred spirits, glorious new beginnings, and the breathtaking wonder of a dream dared bravely enough to shine.

From Anne’s fiery resilience to Montgomery’s own quiet determination, we’re reminded that women shape history in extraordinary ways. Sometimes with grand gestures and sometimes with gentle words written at a kitchen table.

To all the dreamers, the doers, and the storytellers, may your path be lined with courage, curiosity, and a dash of whimsy.
