"...the taste of summer."

🌽 TODAY IS TUESDAY, AUGUST 18th 🌽

Our Farm Stand is OPEN today from 9AM-7PM and our Corny Crew will be ready to serve you more Snyders Corn!

🌽 FREEZING SNYDER’S CORN FOR WINTER 🌽

Want to enjoy Snyder’s Sweet Corn all winter long?!? Freezing your own is easy…and SO much better than packaged frozen corn!

Just buy a little extra corn when you’re at the stand and freeze it after dinner!

🌽 BOIL…Cook corn for 3 minutes after the water returns to a boil.

🌽 COOL…Place the cobs you’re freezing in cold water to cool.

🌽 CUT & FREEZE LOOSE…Cut the kernels off the cobs using your favourite tool (I LOVE the Pampered Chef Kernel Cutter) For kernels that stay loose, spread them on parchment on a cookie sheet and freeze for about 1½ hours before transferring to a freezer bag, leaving about 1 inch of headspace. Squeeze out the air, seal and lay flat in your freezer.

(CAN’T I JUST FREEZE IT ON THE COB…not according to my ‘texture-buds’ 🤪 IMO the cob acts like a sponge (and believe me I’ve tried EVERY way imaginable) and when reheating the flavour is there but the crisp summer crunch is not! It also takes up an incredible amount of space! By all means try a couple and judge for yourself!)

🌽 ENJOY…Reheat frozen kernels of Snyder’s Corn in a covered microwave-safe dish with a little water for 5–8 minutes. Drain and add butter, salt and pepper…and it will taste like summertime!

🌽 HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU FREEZE 🌽

From October until July is about 38 weeks. If you figure 1 cob = about 1 cup of kernels! The average corn lover eats 1-2 cobs fresh but only about 1/2 cup of frozen Snyder’s Corn during an ‘off-season’ meal! With this information you can easily calculate how much your family will need to enjoy Snyder’s Corn once a week all winter!

🌽 Now Snyder’s Corn and the taste of summer doesn’t have to end when the season does! 🌽

Our regular Farm Stand hours are:
MONDAY-SATURDAY
9AM-7PM (as supply allows)

We are always CLOSED SUNDAYS to allow our family and crew opportunity to rest!
