Centreville Fire Rescue is currently looking for a scrap car or junk vehicle to use for upcoming Jaws of Life / vehicle extrication training.

If you have a vehicle you would be willing to donate or sell for scrap value, please let us know. We are willing to pay scrap value if needed and can arrange pickup of the vehicle.

It’s been a busy few weeks at Centreville Fire Rescue with members continuing training and professional development both on and off the fireground.

Over the past couple weeks, members participated in pump operations and flowing water training while several firefighters completed Level 1 JPR sign-offs. Our Chiefs also attended the NBAFC Convention in Moncton over the weekend.

We were honoured to host Marc & Shari Carey for their PTSD presentation, which was very well attended and extremely eye-opening. We appreciate them travelling to Centreville to share their story and experiences.

In addition, two of our members have been attending a 40-hour Medical First Responder (MFR) course and will soon be testing for certification, further expanding the medical capabilities within our coverage area.

Important Presentation for First Responders, Families & Community Members

Centreville Fire Rescue would like to share information on an upcoming presentation being hosted by the Central Valley Firefighters Association:

“The Dragon: Our Family’s Journey Through Post-Traumatic Injury”
Presented by Marc & Shari Carey

📅 May 21, 2026
🕖 7:00 PM
📍 Western Valley Multi-Plex
698 Central St.
Centreville, NB

After more than 36 years of service with the Saint John Fire Department, retired Captain Marc Carey and his wife Shari will share their family’s journey through post-traumatic stress injury and the impact it can have on first responders and their families.

This presentation focuses on recognizing warning signs, the importance of asking for help, and the reminder that nobody has to face these struggles alone.

This is an important topic that affects many in emergency services, and we encourage anyone interested to attend.

⚠️ Please note: This presentation is intended for a mature audience.

Emergency preparedness is a team effort between individuals, communities, organizations, and governments.

When we support one another, we can respond faster and recover more easily when emergencies happen.

Have a plan for your household, support your neighbours, and understand how your community will respond to an emergency.
