To all Band Members
No Selling Drugs From Any Band Units
From Chief and Council

There have been numerous reported drug related incidents:
- Drug paraphernalia being carelessly discarded i.e. needles, plastic bags, etc;
- Drug related thefts from houses; band buildings;
- Drug related car thefts;
- Drug related break and enter invasions;
- Drug related car chases and;
- Drug related domestic abuse violence.

There are many more unreported incidents that are happening in our community as a result of the drugs that are being sold and made available to our community members.

The Chief and Council are addressing the numerous expressed community member concerns of the rampant drug use and selling in band owned units. As a results, a decision was made that 'ANYONE SELLING ANY DRUGS' will be evicted from the band owned units and may lead to banishment.

Nominations are being held today at the Band Office from 4-7pm.
This small timeframe is very dissapointing. This is a pre-cursor to our elections! Elections to have respected, knowledgeable people to be the leaders in the community. This event should be an all day event. I, as well as many others are disappointed to see this. If you are a Band member and are capable of going out to nominate someone, please ensure you are aware of this timeframe.

Well, we are having nominations for Chief and Council tomorrow at the Band Office. The elections are in August, 2021.
The current Chief and Council have been doing very good work to try and promote opportunities, assistance and maintain a good working staff in all departments.
We have not had a case of Covid in the community and its because of the efforts of this Council.
We have strenghtened all departments and introduced new community laws and created a safer community to live in and be a part of.
We hope to see yous all help to participate in these efforts and continue on this path of success.

The draft was created thanks to extensive member engagement in the fall of 2020. Your feedback will be considered in the final Kamig Kwe Naaknigewin and guide our steps to heal our reserve lands.

For those of you not able to make it to the ceremony tonight it will be available online. Here are the instructions:
The instructions would be as follows:

Download the APP called “ZOOM” cloud meetings (phone)
NO NEED RO SIGN IN OR SIGN UP.. look for “Join Meeting”
Where it prompts “Meeting ID”, enter the band FAX number which is (no spaces)
