You can schedule in advance to read your own or some favorite Palestinian poetry, there will also be open mic slots night of, or you can just sit back and enjoy a night of poetry with us!

The news and images and stories have been horrific and beyond words since, well, 1948 to be honest. But especially these last 8 months. And the most recent actions are just... I have no words. It is devastating and traumatizing and that is just seeing things unfold on my phone.

Sending so much love and care to all of those in Gaza, to those with family and friends in Gaza, to all of those speaking up and pressuring your elected officials and participating in boycotts and actions and everything else.

It doesn't feel like enough. But we must all of us continue to do whatever we can.

It isn't too late to start speaking up.
It matters, even just to be witnesses and to refuse to look away.

Poetry is a powerful tool and Palestine produces so many incredible poets. Even if you are hesitant about poetry, I promise you we can probably find a poet or a book of poetry for you that will have something you like!

Celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday and take your mother to the vigil to honor the mothers suffering in Palestine - who have lost their children, who are having to decide who can eat when they have only crumbs, who are lacking any neonatal care, who are giving birth without hospitals, food, running water, or anesthetic, and who are doing all they can to keep their families as safe as they can.

This Saturday, May 11 @ 2 pm @ Boulder Park, members of the Island Peace Committee and PEI4Palestine continue to stand in solidarity with Palestine.

This Mother’s Day weekend we honour all of the mothers suffering the loss of their children. All of the mothers who are unable to provide food, shelter, and security due to the ongoing genocide and siege in Gaza. Over 17,000 children dead, stuck under rubble, starving, traumatized. Countless more orphaned, injured and terrified.

These children belong to all of us. Our hearts bleed for what these mothers endure every day under this brutal occupation.

Join us in our vigil to honour these Palestinian mothers and to demand a Free Palestine. 🇵🇸❤️
