Tayte Willows of the Green Party of PEI is the unofficial winner, receiving 1,184 votes, which represents 39.59% of the 2,990 ballots cast in this by-election. Overall voter turnout was 60.87% of the 4,912 registered electors.

District 16 Cornwall-Meadowbank By-Election Results
The District 16 Cornwall - Meadowbank By-Election concluded this evening with the
election of a new member to the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island.
Tayte Willows of the Green Party of PEI is the unofficial winner, receiving 1,184 votes,
which represents 39.59% of the 2,990 ballots cast in this by-election. Overall voter
turnout was 60.87% of the 4,912 registered electors.
“I would like to thank all the election officials who worked at the polls for this
by-election, and to all the voters who turned out to exercise their democratic right to vote.
I was very impressed with the level of voter engagement” says Chief Electoral Officer Tim
Garrity.

www.electionspei.ca Results are reported on a poll-by-poll basis, including advance
votes.

The Election Day Poll was supposed to close at 7pm, but if there were voters in line to vote the poll will stay open until they have they're ballots cast. As of 7:10pm there was still about 100 people in line waiting to vote.
It may take a while until we see some results!
