🏇🌹 Our volunteers were off to the races at this year's Volunteer Appreciation Event!

This year, we celebrated Kentucky Derby style with fabulous hats, great food, lots of laughter, and wonderful company. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the many volunteers who make a difference at St. Andrew's Residence and throughout our community.

From supporting resident programs and special events to delivering meals through our Meals on Wheels program, our volunteers share their time, energy, and compassion in countless ways. Their dedication helps enrich the lives of older adults both within our residence and across Chatham-Kent.

We are incredibly grateful for each and every volunteer who chooses to give back and help others. Your kindness, commitment, and caring hearts make a lasting impact every day.

Thank you for all that you do. We couldn't do it without you!

Every day, our Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than just a meal — they deliver kindness, care, and connection.

And every year, our faithful volunteer Quinn adds a little extra magic by dressing up as Santa, sharing smiles, laughter, and the joy of the season with everyone he meets. 🎅✨

If you’ve ever thought about giving back in a meaningful way, we’d love to have you join our volunteer team. A small gift of time can make a big difference — especially to someone who may be spending the season alone.

This week we welcomed our volunteers to our St. Andrew’s Day themed Christmas lunch—and what a celebration it was!

Our volunteers came dressed in shades of blue, filling the room with colour, laughter, and community spirit. Everyone joined in the fun with Scottish trivia, the Thistle Challenge, and of course a friendly competition for the “Most Blue” table!

Thank you to all our STAR, Meals on Wheels volunteers and Board Members who attended. Your dedication shines all year long, and it was wonderful to celebrate you.

We’re looking for volunteers in the Ridgetown area to help deliver Meals on Wheels!
It’s a simple way to brighten someone’s day—just 2–3 times a month for about an hour (11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.).
