Posting this in case it helps! 🧡

One of the most frequent mentoring requests we get are from people who’ve been paralyzed by overwhelm from clutter in their homes. And when you’re in the thick of it, solutions aren’t often obvious. This chart is a resource to help families find freedom from their stuff! If you know a parent/guardian who can use it, please share!

The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
Psalm 28:7

Happy Thanksgiving, CK! 🧡

Twenty-one years of NeighbourLink in CK, and we are blessed year after year by the compassion and willingness our community has to help others.

So far, this year (Jan-Aug 2026) we’ve helped participants with:
🥫519 deliveries from food banks
🍎 30 grocery shopping trips (volunteers go out and get groceries on behalf of someone in need)

Our Street Frenz ministry has also continued…
🥪 Weekly meal deliveries to the housing precarious (~100 per week)
🍗 Monthly BBQs x3 in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Walpole Island (feeding 30-65 each bbq)

Hunger is not going unnoticed in CK. Thank you to all who partner, volunteer, support and pray for us.

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?
And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ - Matthew 25:37-40

Have you heard about Key Bible Clubs??? 🧡

They bring Christian education to public schools after regular education hours 🎉, and there are 35 active groups running in Southwestern Ontario!

‼️ We have clubs meeting in CK, but NONE in Chatham proper. ‼️

🙏 If you are interested in teaching Christian curriculum to students (5-12 years old), after school (3:30-4:30PM), please apply to be a Club Leader! Even better if you can convince a friend to join you 😊.

🧡 We love watching people respond compassionately to needs in our community 🥰

Needs are growing in CK, and we trust that as they do, God is moving people towards filling gaps. Here are some volunteer roles we would love you to consider:

📞 OFFICE SUPPORT - Our office would like to train 1 or 2 more volunteers to assist us, taking requests from the community, and matching volunteers with needs. If you are comfortable on a computer and phone, and are willing to come in once a week for 2-3 hours in the morning, we’d love to hear from you.

🚘 DRIVERS - The need for transportation to appointments is steadily growing. We have an incredible group of drivers, but we can certainly use more help. We’re currently averaging around 85 rides per month. If a few *new* volunteers could take just one ride request a month, we would truly appreciate it!

🧺 HOME MENTORS - Every month we receive calls from people feeling overwhelmed by the clutter in their home, and the demands of maintaining their residence. Some of these calls come from people who are willing to learn and work towards health and stability, they just need some mentorship and support. This kind of volunteer role is not for everyone, but if you are eager to make a distinct difference in someone’s life, this is a special, hope-giving volunteer role, you may find very rewarding!

Our volunteers bring hope and practical help to the CK community. If you are interested in joining us, please call, or visit the link below.
