We're hiring 3 summer tutors! (Note: this position has the possibility of leading into a full-time year-long contract)

Job Description:
- Tutor elementary age students in basic subject areas on a one-to-one basis
- Create, follow, and update individualized educational plans
- Compose reports regarding the individual progress of children
- Supervise children during outdoor breaks

Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm, June 29-August 21, 2026
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Qualifications:
- Relevant post-secondary education or previous experience volunteering with LDACK
- Strong academic, organizational, and motivational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
- Aware of the needs of children with learning disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Patient, positive, compassionate to raise the self-esteem of students
- Enjoys working with children
- Career interest in teaching, social work, or related field
- Sign and abide by an oath of confidentiality
- Employment is subject to a satisfactory police check including vulnerable sector
- Applicants with learning disabilities (i.e. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia) are encouraged to apply

This position is supported by Canada Summer Job grant. Individuals are eligible to apply if they are:
- between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or refugee; and
legally entitled to work according to Ontario legislation and regulations

Researchers, Stephanie M. Brocca and Dr. Roula Hawa, at Western University are looking for participants in a research study examining how individuals diagnosed with 'Specific Learning Disorder' manage their health in comparison to the general population.

Participants will be asked to complete a 10–20-minute online questionnaire about their health experiences and skills. Compensation is available.

To participate, you must be…
• 18 to 30 years old
• Live in Ontario, Canada
• Fluent in English
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Diagnosed with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia (reading, writing, or math difficulties)
