On March 17, 2026, the province announced new regulations that would allow โ€œbring-your-own" alcoholic beverages at outdoor public events in participating municipalities beginning April 30, 2026. At this time, Chatham-Kent does not have a Bring-Your-Own by-law and is not participating in this program, therefore ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—บ-๐—ž๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด-๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ-๐—ข๐˜„๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—น.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is dedicated to supporting safe, manageable, and accessible events. Events with alcohol are permitted under the existing Municipal Alcohol Policy. Special Event application information is available on the How To Get Started page, including information on hosting events with alcohol.
