Thursday, August 27 to Saturday, August 29

Annual Chester Baptist Church Yard Sale at 84 King Street. Doors open at 9:00 am each day and close at 2:00 pm. If you have items to donate, call the Church at 902-275-3434 or Max 902-275-3011. Proceeds to accessibility/comfort Centre and Church Programming.

Saturday, August 29

Fish Fry Dinner at the Hubbards Area Lions Club from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Cost is $16 per person at the door.

Sunday, August 30

Everyone is invited to the last Chester Bandstand Concerts of the season with “Tuesday Night Band” presented by: Chester Brass Band Society happening at the Bandstand (3 parade Square) starting at 7:00 pm. Residents and visitors are welcome to enjoy a Summer’s evening overlooking the Chester waterfront and listening to melodies and tunes by one of Nova Scotia’s longest established concert bands. Bring your lawn chairs and dress for the weather. Donations are much appreciated by the volunteer bands to cover costs. WEEKLY FARMERS’ MARKETS

CHESTER FARMERS’ & ARTISAN MARKET is open for the Season every Friday till October 9, at the Old Train Station (37 Smith Road) from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Please head to our website to apply, or reapply, with your interest- see you soon! https://chesterfarmersmarket.net/.

HUBBARDS FARMERS’ MARKET is open for the season every Saturday till October 31, at the Hubbards Barn (57 Hwy 3) from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. The Hubbards Barn Association is a volunteer community-run group that manages the Hubbards Farmers Market, barn property, and events rentals. We work together with our community to create a welcoming, inclusive space that can facilitate a wide range of events and special events.
