Know the Rules Before You Roll 🛴

With more people out enjoying Chestermere’s pathways, sidewalks and parks this summer, Municipal Enforcement is reminding residents to ride safely and respectfully.

Here are a few important safety reminders for bicycle, e-bike and e-scooter users:
✅ Pathway and sidewalk speed limits are 15 km/h unless otherwise posted
✅ Always yield to pedestrians and leashed animals
✅Give an audible warning using your bell or voice when passing
✅ Maintain a safe distance from others using pathways and sidewalks
✅ Riders under 18 must wear a CSA-approved helmet
✅ Ride responsibly and stay aware of your surroundings

Our Peace Officers will continue active bike and pathway patrols throughout the community this season to help keep everyone safe.

Let’s work together to make Chestermere’s pathways safe and enjoyable for everyone. 💙

🔥 Backyard fire pits are part of summer in Chestermere, but safety always comes first.

If enjoying a fire:
• Keep a hose or extinguisher nearby
• Never leave the fire unattended
• Burn only clean, dry wood
• Keep flames under 1 metre

Portable fire pits must also stay at least 4 metres away from buildings, fences, and decks.

Chestermere Fire Services wants to remind you that a safe fire helps protect your home, your neighbours, and the community around you.
