🎨✨ Creative Rebels in Action at Chesterville PS! ✨🎨
We were so excited to welcome Mr. Patrick, artist and illustrator, to Chesterville Public School on Tuesday! He inspired our students to be creative rebels—reminding us that it’s OK to make messy art and that art is something we create for ourselves.
During a school-wide presentation, students watched as Mr. Patrick showed how he layers ideas and materials to build his artwork—from a simple canvas to a finished piece he generously donated to our school.
Our primary students had a blast creating pinch puppets from clothespins during a hands-on workshop, while our junior students explored landscapes, layering, and building dimension using a variety of materials. The energy was high, the creativity was flowing, and the students were buzzing!
When he wasn’t presenting, Mr. Patrick was hard at work on a mural that will be installed in our front foyer before the end of the school year (once the paint has time to cure!). It will be a beautiful reminder of who we are at Chesterville PS.
Thank you, Mr. Patrick, for inspiring us, engaging our students, and giving us permission to make messy art. We can’t wait to see what our students continue to create! 💙🎨
