Today our members were honoured to welcome the Cops for Cancer Riders to our Community.

Our crew had cold water, electrolytes and snacks to help everyone recharge for the next leg of their ride.

A special shout out to CRVFD’s very own Mason Furdal who is completing the ride this year.

CRV Firefighters Society was also happy to donate, Cops for Cancer raises money to fund Research for Paediatric Cancer, and fund Programs for Kids and Families dealing with Cancer

Have a safe ride to all the participants!

Today, we pause to remember.

25 years ago, on September 11, 2001, 343 firefighters of the FDNY made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

When everyone else was running out, they were running in.
They were firefighters, leaders, friends, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and members of their communities.

Their sacrifice is a reminder of the extraordinary responsibility carried by first responders and the bond shared by firefighters everywhere.

We will never forget the 343.
