Nominations for the 2026 Citizen of the Year must be mailed to the address below or can be dropped off at the District (RM) of Lakeland office no later than 4:00 pm, Friday, July 3, 2026.

Selection of the Citizen of the Year is based on contributions to the Lakeland community, including their involvement in community organizations. Eligible nominees must reside in the District (RM) of Lakeland, Village of Christopher Lake, or the portion of the RM of Paddockwood described as the area west of Highway #2, and the area east of Highway #2 with the southern border defined by the Hanson’s Hill road and the eastern border by the Gobeil Road.

Nominations forms are on the reverse of this page, and are also available by emailing [email protected].

**🌿 Contract Opportunity – Plant & Garden Maintenance**

The Village of Christopher Lake is seeking a **contracted Plant & Garden Maintenance provider** for the 2026 season.

This contract includes:
- Plant care, weeding, and watering of the **Village Office grounds**
- Plant care, weeding, and watering throughout **Crothers Park**

- Plant care **Hwy #263 Village Planters**

**Compensation:** $20.00 per hour

**📢 2026 Village Upgrades – Project Highlights**

The Village of Christopher Lake is pleased to share the key infrastructure and beautification upgrades scheduled for **2026**.

**This year’s upgrades include:**
- **Replacement of the power post at the Village well** to ensure reliable service and system protection
- **Paving of the second phase of the walking trail**, improving accessibility and year‑round use
- **Installation of a retaining wall along the walkway** to enhance safety and prevent erosion
- **Installation of new civic address signs** to support emergency response and resident visibility
- **Reconfiguration of the sign corridor** to improve navigation, aesthetics, and community branding
- **Road, drainage, and beautification improvements** throughout the Village

Work will take place through the spring, summer, and fall construction seasons. Temporary disruptions may occur in active work zones, and we appreciate residents’ patience as these upgrades are completed.
