SLOW DOWN IN TOWN. This includes all back alleys as well.

Every year the Churchill RCMP has to remind all citizens and visitors they MUST abide by the Off Road Vehicles Act.

We would like to remind everyone of the Off Road Vehicles Act and the Town of Churchill By-Law.

- Maximum speed in town is 30 Km/hr.
- Must drive off to the side of road.
- Must drive on the river side when on Kelsey Blvd.
- No driving through the Underpass.
- Must cross roads at 90 degrees.
- Anyone under the age of 16 MUST wear a helmet. (Drivers, Passengers and People being towed.)

Remember as an operator of an ORV it is your responsibility to know the Laws before you get on it and drive.

Please ensure that all visitors of Churchill who rent or borrow are familiar with the rules.

Please take a look at our pamphlet.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer.

This post is a reminder with the school bus on the road:

Make sure to prepare to stop when you see the school bus with their amber lights on and stop when you see the red.

The fine for passing a stopped shool bus with its red lights flashing is $673.65 and demerits to your license.

Vehicles are not required to stop on LaVerendrye Ave. in front of the school when the bus is stopped with flashing red lights within the yellow posts. The four yellow posts serve as a barrier as per the Highway Traffic Act. (We don’t make the rules).
However, there is a cross walk there and vehicles are required to stop for any pedestrians wishing to cross. Please use caution when in the area during drop off and pick up times.

Drive safe.
