Fall is here, and that means winter will be right around the corner!

Please note the following seasonal changes to our parks and recreation spaces.

Central Huron parks and dog parks are intended for seasonal use only and are not maintained during the winter season.

- The Splash Pad, all outdoor public washrooms and all ball diamonds are now closed for the 2026 season.

- The Sloman School Car is now closed for the season.

There's still plenty to enjoy around Central Huron during the fall and winter! Free public skating is available at the Eastlink Arena on Sundays from 2:30pm to 4:30pm and the Central Huron YMCA offers an indoor walking track and many different recreational programs and activities.

Farm equipment can be wide. Buggies move slowly. Deer can appear without warning.

Rural driving means expecting the unexpected, especially during harvest seasons when equipment is on the road more often.
Safe Huron starts with you.
