Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday. With the fall weather, food, and family - the cozy vibes are off the charts. Leaves changing colours, pumpkins and mums and hay bales and corn stalks, apple and cinnamon everything ✨SIGH✨ it’s just all right up my alley! 🥰
But at the core of it all is gratitude - a holiday dedicated to a collective pause. For each of us to take in all that we have to be thankful for, from the most basic and universal to the very personal and unique. This is what I hope for you this weekend - a moment to pause and let in all that there is to be grateful for.
At the playground this week, we set-up our annual Gratitude Garland - a paper-chain craft where each visitor writes down something they feel thankful for to create a community chain of joy and blessings. Some highlights include; “my mommy”, “cupcakes”, and “farts” 😂 shoutout to Merlin Forest NoCo Farmers Market Podcast 😉
I also had the chance to visit Warkworth with Lofty Butter Company | Ontario’s Small-Batch Cultured Butter on Friday to have a picture-perfect fall morning that literally included all my favourite things …coffee, books, candles, crystals, and the warmest of conversation. We also participated in the village’s gratitude project of adding a ribbon to Main Street with a message about what we feel thankful for. The result is truly magical! 💖
