What is a human-caused fire?

A human‑caused fire is any wildland fire that isn’t sparked by lightning.

Common causes include:
➡️Trees falling on powerlines
➡️Equipment sparks
➡️Hot engines on dry grass
➡️Unattended campfires
➡️Fireworks

In the spring, fuels like grass and leaves dry out quickly as the snow melts. With people cleaning up properties and spending more time outdoors, the risk of human-caused fires increases.

Flammability Hazard:
A range of We Love Cozy children’s pajama sets – sold at Urban Planet and Urban Kids – have been recalled for violating flammability requirements. The loose-fitting sleepwear can make easy contact with ignition sources and burn rapidly, posing a risk of burn injuries.

Affected items have the style number #3528-4828-2601. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and return them for a refund.

Alliance Chemical has recalled 1-K Kerosene Heater Fluid pre-filled fuel containers.
