The bigger the battery, the bigger the potential fire risk. 🔋⚠️ 🔥

Lithium-ion battery fires involving e-bikes, e-scooters and large power tools can be severe and difficult to extinguish.

⚠️ Reduce your risk by following the manufacturer’s instructions for charging, use and storage.
⚠️ Use the battery and charger that came with your device, never use a damaged or modified battery and keep devices charging away from exits.
⚠️ Need a replacement battery? Contact the original manufacturer or retailer.
⚠️ When it’s time for disposal, check with your municipality for safe disposal options.

🚜 HARVEST SEASON IS HERE. SLOW DOWN. STAY ALERT. WAIT TO PASS.
Farm equipment is on the move across Northumberland - and Northumberland County, the Northumberland Federation of Agriculture and the Northumberland OPP are teaming up to help keep everyone safe on the road.

When you see the orange-and-red slow-moving vehicle (SMV) sign, take it seriously. The vehicle ahead is travelling slowly and may need extra time and space to turn, stop or manoeuvre.

SLOW DOWN
STAY ALERT
WAIT TO PASS

Farm equipment has a right to be on the road. Give farmers the space and patience they need to get their equipment safely from field to field.
