Our Parent Advisory Council generously treated our NHS staff to some delicious treats, and we are incredibly grateful for their kindness and support. We can’t thank them enough for the countless hours they have volunteered and for everything they have done to support our school throughout the year. Their dedication and generosity are truly appreciated.

What an incredible Indigenous Peoples Celebration shared by Nelson Heights School and Cold Lake Elementary School!
Students, staff, and guests had the opportunity to participate in meaningful teachings, cultural activities, and enriching experiences throughout the day. It was wonderful to see our school communities come together to learn, connect, and celebrate Indigenous cultures and traditions.

A special thank you to Dani Moore and Stephanie David for working with both administrative teams to bring this event to life. Through collaboration and shared resources, they helped bring together Elders, representatives from CLFN, Métis community members, Successful Families Successful Kids, and teachers who shared their knowledge and led engaging sessions throughout the day. We are grateful to all of our presenters for the time, wisdom, and experiences they shared with our students.

Thank you to the staff of both schools for your flexibility, enthusiasm, and commitment to making the day such a memorable learning experience.

We are grateful to Primco Dene for donating hot dogs and prizes for our students, and to Kinosoo Ridge for generously donating an amazing grand prize for one lucky student.
A huge thank you to our PAC members and parent volunteers who helped prepare, cook, and serve lunch. We also loved seeing students share impromptu dances to help close out the day.

To everyone who contributed their time, knowledge, resources, and energy—thank you for helping make this celebration such a meaningful and memorable experience for our students and school communities!
