It’s Adopt a Shelter Cat Month!! 🐱❤️

A time to shine a light on the cats in shelters waiting for their forever homes and the difference adoption can make.

Adoption fees can seem like a lot at first, but they reflect the care and support that goes into getting a cat ready for a safe and healthy new home.

When you adopt, many of the essential early care steps including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping, are already included! Along with the support of a system focused on safe and responsible rehoming. When buying a pet online, those protections and inclusions are often missing, which can mean additional costs, less transparency, and fewer safeguards overall.

Adoption is a more responsible way to bring a pet home, and it helps give animals already in need a second chance. If you’re looking for a new addition to your family, consider adopting!

June is national microchipping month!!

A microchip is one of the most important yet simple ways to protect your pet for life.

Unlike collars and ID tags that can break, slip off, or get lost, a microchip is a tiny permanent form of identification that stays with your pet no matter what. If your dog or cat ever goes missing, veterinary clinics and shelters can scan the chip and quickly access your contact information... making reunions faster and far more likely.

Every year, countless stray pets come into shelters without microchips, which makes it much more difficult to identify them or reconnect them with their families. A simple scan can be the key to quickly finding an owner. But without a chip, that process often becomes much slower and less certain. It doesn’t track your pet or require batteries, it’s just a reliable backup that can make all the difference in an unexpected situation.

Think of it as a safety net that never comes off.

If your pet isn’t microchipped yet, talk to your vet or local shelter about how easy it is to get done. It’s a small step today that can bring peace of mind for years to come.
