Breaking Down Barriers Independent Living Resource Centre Since 1985, Breaking Down Barriers has been providing programs and services that enable individuals with disabilities to participate in all aspects of society.

We provide a wide range of independent living skills programs, peer support activities, services and supports, resources and referrals to people living with disabilities across Simcoe, Grey and Bruce Counties. Our programs and services support people to:

Reach their personal goals

Acquire appropriate disability supports, assistive devices and technology

Connect with peers, problem solve and bu

ild self-confidence

Overcome isolation and segregation

Access community programs and supports

Reduce barriers in communities

⛔Labour Day Service Impacts & Closures⛔

📆On Monday, September 7, the Collingwood Public Library, Collingwood Museum, Centennial Aquatic Centre, Central Park Arena, Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, Business Development Centre, Town Hall & Municipal Offices will be closed. There are no impacts to public transit service.
