Until Next Year

From high above Colonsay, my dragon and I watched brave adventurers roam the town, solve riddles, charm creatures, and discover the many wonderful places hidden in our community. The dragons, gargoyles, trolls, and leaf creatures all reported the same thing: it was a joy to see how much fun everyone had finding the QR signs and exploring each destination.

To everyone who joined the quest — thank you for bringing the magic to life.

Colonsay Communities in Bloom also extends heartfelt thanks to the Colonsay Pool Committee and all who made the Midnight Swim such a success, and for welcoming our prize ceremony into the evening’s festivities.

We’re already whispering with the creatures about next year…
a few new destinations, a few trickier riddles, and plenty more magic to discover.

Until then, the creatures will quietly await your return.

The Colonsay Swimming Pool committee would like to thank everyone for supporting the fantastic Midnight Swim! 45 swimmers and their families joined in the fun evening and so many more came out to enjoy the BBQ!
The 50/50 Rubber Duck draw winner was Waylon Walter, a very excited young man to hear about his winnings.
Raffle prize donations were from Woodbridge Vet, two baskets-one for cats and one for dogs, thank you very much for these great raffle prizes!
These were won by Liv Palm (dog basket) and Lorraine Johnston-MacKay (cat basket)
Two more raffle prizes donated by Drystone Naturals, the camping buckets and beach toys went to Waylon Walter and Warren Cooper
A huge heartfelt thank you to the town staff for all the support, especially Nick, Becca, Makaila and Liv

🐉✨ A Dragon Rider’s Report: The QR Riddle Hunt Champions of 2026 ✨🐉

From my perch high above Colonsay — astride a rather opinionated dragon who insisted on narrating half the journey — I watched brave adventurers roam the town, chase clues, charm creatures, and outwit riddles hidden in every nook and prairie corner.

And now, the Dragon Council (that’s me, my dragon, and a very bossy leaf creature) proudly announces the champions of this year’s quest.

1st Place — Sydney & Ryland Wall
These two soared through 24 riddles with the speed of storm‑winds and the determination of hatchling dragons guarding their first shiny treasure.

Prize:
A collectible strategy game, TSURO, donated by Colonsay Communities in Bloom Committee (sourced from the magical halls of Dragon’s Den Games, Saskatoon).

My dragon approves — he claims it’s “excellent training for spatial awareness,” though he mostly likes the box art.

2nd Place — Waylan Walters
Waylan trekked across town and prairie with heroic grit, solving riddles while dodging mischievous gargoyles and one extremely dramatic troll.

Prize:
1 KG of Q‑Bees Honey (sweet enough to calm even a cranky dragon)
Three homemade condiments from Concrete Elements
A collectible miniature hatching dragon egg from Quinten’s Comic Books, Saskatoon

The egg has already been inspected by the Dragon Council. It passed with flying colours (and a tiny squeak).

3rd Place — Lorraine Johnston MacKay
Lorraine journeyed with steady courage, solving riddles with the calm wisdom of someone who has definitely negotiated with magical creatures before.

Prize:
1 KG of Q‑Bees Honey
- A collectible miniature hatching dragon egg (also approved by the Council)

Her dragon egg showed early signs of curiosity. A good omen.

🌼 A Salute to Our Donors & Allies
The Dragon Council extends its deepest gratitude to:
Colonsay Communities in Bloom
Dragon’s Den Games, Saskatoon
Q‑Bees Honey
Concrete Elements
Quinten’s Comic Books, Saskatoon

Your gifts kept the magic alive, the creatures entertained, and the adventurers motivated.

Relive the Quest
For those who wish to witness the journey — the selfies, the riddles, the triumphs, and the occasional creature photobomb —
a link to MemoryKPR will be shared so you can explore the full adventure.

The dragons and I watched every moment with joy.
Colonsay shone brightly — its people, its places, its magic.

Until next year, adventurers.
The creatures are already whispering… and plotting.
