New Apostolic Church - Coquitlam

New Apostolic Church - Coquitlam The New Apostolic Church is an international Christian church. The foundation of its teachings is the Holy Scripture.

It developed from the Catholic Apostolic Church in 1863 and is led by apostles, just like the first Christian congregations. The New Apostolic Church recognizes three sacraments: Holy Baptism, Holy Sealing, and Holy Communion. Baptism with water is the first and fundamental act of the triune God’s grace upon a human being who believes in Christ. Through the act of Holy Sealing, the baptized believ

er is filled with the Holy Spirit. This occurs through prayer and laying-on of hands of an apostle. The body and blood of Christ are imparted in the sacrament of Holy Communion. The return of Christ to take home His bride is a central component of New Apostolic doctrine. Other significant elements are missionary work and love for one’s fellow human being.

Day 3 of Vacation Bible School Recap 🌿

❤️ Morning Session (Day 4): God Is Love

Bible Buddy: Tia the Giant Anteater

📖 Bible Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” – Psalm 136:1
We learned that God’s love is more than a feeling—it’s a choice and an action.
Jesus showed the greatest love by:
Choosing to follow God’s plan, even though He knew it would be painful
Carrying the cross and giving His life for us
Rising again three days later, showing love is stronger than death
Jesus lived a life of love—helping, listening, and caring for others.

💬 Discussion: How can we be selfless?
Serving others in church
Helping without being asked
Showing kindness to all ages
Example: Junior youth made something thoughtful for the seniors 💕

💡 Key idea: God’s love is unshakable, selfless, unstoppable, and forever.

🌿 Afternoon Session (Day 5): God Is Forever

Bible Buddy: Howie the Howler Monkey 🐒

📖 Bible Verse: “We can praise the Lord both now and forever!” – Psalm 115:18
We learned that God is always with us now and will be with us forever.
In John’s vision of heaven, we see a future where we will live in God’s presence forever.
God’s forever promise gives us hope and joy.

🌱 Activity Connection:
Kids planted seeds and are waiting for them to grow
This reminds us that we are also waiting for something amazing—eternal life with God

💬 Key idea: While we wait, we can have a forever friendship with Jesus right now.

❤️✨ Big Takeaway from Day 3
God’s love never ends—and neither does He. We are loved now and forever, and we can share that love with others every day.

Day 2 of Vacation Bible School Recap 🌿✨

Today we learned two big truths about God through the life of David:

🔍 Morning Session: God Knows Everything

Bible Buddy: Seymour the Glass Frog 🐸
📖 Bible Verse: “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.” – Psalm 139:1

We learned that God knows everything about us—our thoughts, feelings, struggles, and dreams. David experienced this firsthand:
When he was running from King Saul, God saw him and protected him.
When he became king and made mistakes, God still loved him and pursued him.
Just like using a magnifying glass helps us see tiny details, God doesn’t need one—He already sees and knows it all!
Most importantly, God’s knowledge of us is loving and caring, like a perfect parent.

💬 Key idea: You are never unseen or unknown—God truly knows you.

🛡️ Afternoon Session: God Is Our Safe Place

Bible Buddy: Dottie the Ocelot
📖 Bible Verse: “You are my place of refuge.” – Psalm 142:5

We learned that God is our safe place when we feel afraid or worried.

David trusted God for safety while hiding from Saul.
God is bigger than our fears, just like He was bigger than Saul. We talked about how we can turn to God for strength and courage anytime.

🎨 Junior youth activity:They designed their “perfect church,” thinking about how everyone—kids, youth, and seniors—belongs and finds safety in God’s family.

💬 Key idea: We can always run to God—He is our refuge and safe place.

❤️ Big Takeaway from Day 2
God knows us completely and cares for us deeply—and because of that, we can always find safety in Him.

Next up, day 3!! 🎉

Day 1 of Vacation Bible School Recap! 🌿✨

We kicked off our first day of Vacation Bible School yesterday afternoon, and it was an incredible start! We were so blessed to see such a great turnout. A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped make the day so special!

Here’s what our kiddos explored:

🌎 Session One: God is Our Creator
🦜 Bible Buddy: Tango the Quetzal
📖 Bible Verse:“Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom.” — Psalm 103:22

📚 Bible Story: God Creates the World

The children learned some wonderful truths:
God created everything—from nothing!
Light existed from Day 1.
God saved His most important creation for last—people!
We are made in God’s image.
Even Jesus chose to follow God’s will, knowing it wouldn’t be easy.

💭 Big Question to Think About:

What can your creativity and God’s beautiful creation show you about Him?

We can’t wait to see what Day 2 brings! 💛
