On Saturday, June 6, 2026, members of 2 RNFLDR participated in the Newfoundland and Labrador Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics at the Corner Brook Civic Centre, helping raise awareness and support for Special Olympics athletes across the province.

Le samedi 6 juin 2026, des membres du 2 RNFLDR ont participé à la Course au flambeau des organismes d’application de la loi de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador pour Olympiques spéciaux, tenue au Centre civique de Corner Brook, contribuant ainsi à sensibiliser le public et à soutenir les athlètes d’Olympiques spéciaux de l’ensemble de la province.

We would like to recognize and thank Mr. Jason King of Western Regional Waste Management for his flexibility and unwavering support of 2 Lt Howse. His commitment to accommodating her military responsibilities has helped her successfully balance her civilian career with her valuable service in the Reserve Force. Thank you for supporting Canada's Reservists.

2RNFLDR members proudly took the plunge in support of Special Olympics at the 2026 Polar Bear Plunge in Massey Drive, NL, on April 26, 2026! Together, the team helped raise an incredible $485 for this great local cause.
A huge shoutout to:
Pte Bellows, Pte Young, Cpl King, Sgt Benoit, 2Lt MacDonald, 2Lt Howse
Thank you for braving the icy waters and showing outstanding community spirit and support for Special Olympics athletes. Well done to everyone involved!

Les membres du 2RNFLDR ont fièrement relevé le défi du Bain des ours polaires 2026 afin d’appuyer Olympiques spéciaux à Massey Drive, T.-N.-L., le 26 avril 2026! Ensemble, l’équipe a contribué à amasser l’incroyable somme de 485 $ pour cette excellente cause locale.

2RNFLDR conducted an APRV in Corner Brook during 25–26 April 2026 to confirm that all battalion personnel are operationally ready for summer FTSE, courses, and domestic operations. Information briefings were also delivered to ensure members remain current on CAF policies.

2RNFLDR a mené une APRV à Corner Brook du 25 au 26 avril 2026 afin de confirmer que tout le personnel du bataillon est prêt sur le plan opérationnel pour les FTSE d’été, les cours et les opérations nationales. 2RNFLDR BMQ candidates successfully completed a 10-day training session this past week. During the course, they developed skills in CBRN drills, navigation, fieldcraft, and radio procedures, and also participated in live-fire and gas hut exercises over the weekend.

Les candidats du BMQ du 2 RNFLDR ont réussi à compléter une séance d’entraînement de 10 jours au cours de la dernière semaine. Au cours de cette formation, ils ont développé des compétences en exercices CBRN, en navigation, en techniques de campagne et en procédures radio, et ont également participé à des exercices de tir réel et à la chambre à gaz durant la fin de semaine.

Last Thursday evening, A Company and C Company trained together at Gallipoli Armoury in Corner Brook. The training provided an opportunity for members to exchange knowledge and experiences, contributing to a stronger, more unified team.

2 RNFLDR conducted Exercise Tactical Guard this weekend in Corner Brook, delivering Individual Battle Task Standards (IBTS) training to improve both unit and individual readiness, in line with the Commanding Officer’s intent and Departure Assistance Group (DAG) requirements.
