Hi everyone,
We want to create a slideshow for the South Shore Bay Festival, so we are asking anyone who is willing to share their photographs to contact the Town Hall at 789-2981. Thank-you.
Also, we are still collecting old photographs of the South Shore and we are looking to conduct oral history interviews with interested members of the public. Please contact the Town Hall at 789-2981 or Roxanne Abbott at 789-2813 ([email protected]).

Hey folks,

Yesterday, we finished four new displays for the museum!
Included in this are some good stuff on local government (from the 1830s to 1972) and on the Fishermen's Protective Union (FPU).

Fun* Fact: While the FPU did not have a great deal of growth on the West Coast, all of its West Coast locals were located in and around the Bay of Islands, including one for Frenchman's Cove and Woods Island each.

*Fun may or may not occur with the reading of the above fact.
