Founded in 2010 and located about a half-hour from the City of Corner Brook, the Centre - a home originally owned by former residents Victoria and Peter Hackett - explores the history of Woods Island and the former communities which makes up the Town of Humber Arm South (Halfway Point, Benoit's Cove, John's Beach, Voy's Beach and Frenchman's Cove). The Centre is owned and operated by the Town of H
umber Arm South with research being done by various researchers and members of the community. Step back in time with your ancestors and relive the days of old at the Woods Island Resettlement House and Historic Centre! Open during the Summer Months, please enquire with the Town Office for exact yearly dates for inital opening and final closing.
