Violence Prevention West (VPW) is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization funded by the Office of Women and Gender Equality with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and overseen by a Board of Directors made up of government a

nd community partners. VPW is one of ten organizations that work under the umbrella of Violence Prevention NL to increase awareness of all forms of violence and the context of inequality and intergenerational trauma in which violence is rooted. Our role encompasses public awareness and education, outreach, resource development, advocacy, supportive counselling and referrals, and the development and coordination of partnerships and programs.
