NOTICE OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

Warren Grove Community Council will hold a special meeting this Friday, August 28, at 7:00 p.m. at the Warren Grove Community Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider the appointment of a municipal Enforcement Officer.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Are you 50 or older and living in a rural community in Atlantic Canada?

Researchers from St. Francis Xavier University and the Atlantic Collaborative on Injury Prevention are looking for participants for a study about fall risks and prevention in rural communities.

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and participants will have a chance to win one of twenty $50 grocery gift cards.

Our members and families will be honouring fallen Island EMS paramedics Mike MacKenzie and Jenna Croucher as they make their way home this afternoon. The procession will be making its way through Main Street at approximately 4:15. We will have many personal and emergency vehicles set up near Town hall and the RCMP building.
Please slow down, pay attention and be patient as we all navigate through this.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we bring them home.

We encourage everyone who is able to attend and stand alongside our first responders, their families, friends, and colleagues as we honour these two heroes.

Every day, first responders answer the call to help their neighbours during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Today, our community has the opportunity to show up for them.

Please join us in paying your respects to Mike and Jenna and showing support for the entire first responder community.

Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of two EMS professionals, and the patient that tragically passed away yesterday.

One of those lost called Warren Grove home for many years, and this loss will be felt deeply within our community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, colleagues and all those grieving. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
