Our Chief is right, all the fire departments in the county need help. We’ve heard all the excuses. I can’t commit to (fill in the blank), I’m not always available, I’m too young/old, I don’t know anything about it. They are just excuses. We are all volunteers. We can when we can and we can’t when we can’t.

This is an incredible job you get paid for in ways that aren’t just money. If you’ve ever thought about it, contact the VFD in your area. The hardest part, is walking through that station door the first time.

We all live in the communities we serve. How can you make a difference?

Sunday September 19th at 15:09 CFD responded to structure fire 7.3km NW of town, 8 cfd members were on scene. All occupants made it out safely.

Also huge shout out to Debs Country Kitchen who provided us with 3 large pizzas for supper when we got back to fire hall

Stop by over lunch for a BBQ'd burger, cooked by your local Fire Dept, all proceeds to the Fire Dept.
