The senior girls soccer team from Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School has captured the 2026 BC AA Girls Soccer Provincial Championship!

The Ice capped off an incredible season with a 2-1 victory over Windsor Secondary in the provincial final in Kamloops, finishing the tournament undefeated and completing a remarkable 25-0 season.

Along the way, the team:
⚽ Won the UVic Team Sales Tournament for the first time in school history
⚽ Won the Carihi Investors Group Challenge for the first time in school history
⚽ Captured a fourth consecutive AA North Islands Championship
⚽ Won the AA Islands Championship
⚽ Finished the season with an astounding 108 goals scored and only nine goals against

Adding to the celebration, Isfeld's Lauren was named Tournament MVP, recognizing her outstanding play and leadership throughout the championship.

This team has represented Isfeld, Comox Valley Schools and our entire community with exceptional skill, sportsmanship, determination and teamwork.

Congratulations to every player, coach Aarlen Story, support staff, families and supporters who helped make this unforgettable season possible.

A BIG BIG congratulations to the Girls, who were victorious today in the final championship game in Kamloops , winning 2-1 over Windsor/North Vancouver!!! The Isfeld team was undefeated throughout the highly competitive tournament!

This is a super special achievement and we offer special congratulations to Coach Aarlen Storey, who has lead this team with incredible passion and dedication !! 🙌

Further congratulations are offered to the parents/caregivers of these exceptional players! They are backbone of every player and of the team!

The senior girls soccer team at Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School is heading to the BC AA Girls Soccer Provincial Championships in Kamloops after an incredible 20-0-0 season!!

Highlights include:
- UVic Team Sales Tournament champions
- Carihi Investors Group Challenge champions
- AA North Islands champions (4th straight year)
- AA Islands champions

Throughout the season, the team has demonstrated outstanding consistency, skill, and teamwork while competing against some of the top high school programs in BC.

Comox Valley Schools would like to thank our students, staff and families for their cooperation and support today in helping reduce water use during the no flush order issued earlier by the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) impacting the City of Courtenay and Town of Comox today.

The CVRD has advised that repairs to the sewer leak near the Comox Marina have been successfully completed and the leak has been stopped. At this time, it is safe to resume normal use of toilets, dishwashers, laundry and other household water-related activities.

All schools are scheduled to open as usual tomorrow.

We appreciate the collective efforts of our school communities in supporting the CVRD and regional partners as they responded to this situation.

PAC = Parent Advisory Council

Did you know….

⭐️ PACs are self-governing bodies that act as a forum for parents to discuss school-related concerns, provide input on school policies, and advocate for student needs.

⭐️ Any parent or guardian of a student attending the school is a member of the PAC.
Role of Administration: School principals/administrators are expected to support PACs but do not vote, ensuring the PAC acts as an independent advisory body.

⭐️ PACs often raise funds to support school activities, field trips, or equipment, and can receive provincial Community Gaming Grants.
Organization: They operate under a constitution and bylaws and usually hold monthly meetings.

⭐️ PACs operate at the school level. They can join the District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) to provide input on district-wide decisions.
