Glacier View Lodge provides a caring home for residents who have complex health needs. We are proud to be known for excellence in dementia care.

We provide professional nutritional services, activation programming, spiritual care, housekeeping and laundry services. We follow many best practices to deliver resident-centered care. We are committed to regularly reviewing the care that we provide through ongoing quality management and regular surveys by Accreditation Canada. Glacier View Lodge provides short-term care to those whose caregivers need a break. Those admitted to our respite program are able to access all care and services available to residents of Glacier View Lodge. The Adult Day Program offers services to seniors with complex health issues who are still living in the community to connect with others in the community and participate in a variety of social, physical, cognitive and spiritual/emotional programs. Clients attend on the same day each week, allowing their caregivers to have a scheduled break.

This Thanksgiving, we have a little extra sweetness to be thankful for at Glacier View Lodge!

A heartfelt thank you to Dairy Queen for generously donating three beautiful and delicious ice cream cakes for our residents to enjoy! 🎂🍦

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation for taking the time to deliver these wonderful treats to us!

It’s thoughtful gestures like these that remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and generous community. Your kindness brings smiles, joy, and a little extra sweetness to the lives of those who call Glacier View Lodge home. 💕

Our residents spent a lovely afternoon creating beautiful floral arrangements with fresh flowers generously donated by 5th Street Florist. 💐

💙 What a wonderful day at Glacier View Lodge! 💙

On Sunday, we hosted our 3rd Annual Walk for Glacier View Lodge, bringing our community together to walk, connect, enjoy our beautiful gardens and raise funds in support of our Music Therapy Program. 🎶

Participants had the opportunity to take a 2 km walk through the beautiful 37 acres that Glacier View Lodge calls home, all while helping raise funds for a program that brings meaningful moments of connection, comfort and joy to our residents.

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, donated, baked, volunteered, sponsored and helped make the day such a success. And a very special thank you to our Board of Directors for championing this wonderful fundraiser and helping bring the event to life! 💙

We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for our residents. Together, we’re making a difference! 🌿🎶

What an incredible evening celebrating the people who make Glacier View Lodge so special. ❤️

At our Service Awards Dinner, we had an amazing 165 years of combined experience represented at the table! From 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and even 40 years of service, these milestones are a true testament to the dedication, compassion and commitment of our staff.

Each year of service represents countless moments of care, connection, laughter and memories shared with our residents, families and one another.

Your years of dedication have made a lasting impact on Glacier View Lodge, and we are so grateful to celebrate you.🎉

❤️🏍️ A Big Thank You to the Love Buggy! 🏍️❤️

A huge thank you to the Love Buggy for bringing his beautiful bike up to Glacier View Lodge! Our residents had such a wonderful time seeing it up close and enjoying the visit.

Even better, the adapted bike gives our seniors the opportunity to get out, enjoy the fresh air, and experience the joy of riding. 🚲🌿

🎪✨ What better way to kick off the end of summer than with a campus-wide carnival?! ✨🎪

Glacier View Lodge came alive with entertainment, popcorn, ice cream, axe throwing, fishing, ring toss, “float your boat,” a kaleidoscope, and so much more! 🍿🍦🎯🎣

We even had a few clowns and magicians make an appearance, adding a little extra carnival magic to the day! 🤡🪄

A huge thank you to all of our families, volunteers, and staff who went above and beyond to participate, get involved, and make the day so much fun for our residents. ❤️☀️🎪

A heartfelt thank you to the Legion for their generous $4,000 donation from the Poppy Fund toward quality initiatives at Glacier View Lodge.

Our Manager of Community Services was pleased to accept this meaningful donation on behalf of Glacier View Lodge. This generous support will help us continue to enhance the experiences and quality of life of those who call Glacier View Lodge home.

We are truly grateful for the Legion’s continued generosity and support of our community. ❤️

Last week we celebrated the retirement of someone who has made a lasting impact here at Glacier View Lodge.

Over the years, he has been the driving force behind countless maintenance projects, always putting safety first and approaching every challenge with patience, kindness, and a willingness to help. His dedication, knowledge, and friendly nature have been appreciated by residents, families, and staff alike.

While we’re wishing him all the best in this well-earned retirement, we’re grateful this isn’t really goodbye—it’s simply, “See you in three months!”

Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for your years of hard work, dedication, and kindness. Wishing you all the best in this next chapter! 💙
