Q***r community come celebrate with us! Bring your board, bring your friends and come celebrate Pride with us.

Join us on Saturday, August 29, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the LINC Youth Centre and Skatepark for Q***r Skate. Whether you're stepping on a skateboard for the first time or already shredding with confidence, this inclusive session is open to q***r folks and allies of all skill levels.

Come hang out, have fun, learn new tricks and connect with community in a welcoming and supportive space.

And the fun doesn't stop there! After Pride in the Park, head back to The LINC for a relaxed after-party featuring ice cream cake, good vibes and plenty of community fun.

Sail away with Captain Thunderpants this Thursday at Woodcote Park from 4-5pm!

The Captain is a time travelling Intergalactic Space Pirate from the planet Funkathon. He is here on earth as part of a secret mission to collect enough yams to fuel an Archelon escape pod from the distant galaxy of Yum Yum, which is completely inhabited by gold encrusted ceratopsian dinosaurs.

🌈 Pride Swim at Courtenay Outdoor Pool! 🌈

Make a splash and celebrate Pride with us!

After Labour Day weekend we will return to our regular hours. Holiday hours are subject to change so be sure to check in.

On Tuesday's the age group will be changing slightly from ages 8-11 to ages 9-11.

Tammra, aka DJ sprouT, has been moving dance floors for over two decades. She brings a finely tuned ear for storytelling through sound, crafting sets that are immersive, full of heart, and just the right amount of sass. As a DJ, event curator, and promoter, her love of music and mix creation has taken her to various corners of the globe, leading her to play at numerous events, nightclubs, and festivals, including Wicked Woods Music Festival, Shambhala Music Festival, Bass Coast Project, and many more.

The profound connection between music and the audience fuels her creativity and inspires her to continually push the boundaries of her craft. sprouT fuses deep, funky house and breaks with bass-forward, melodic, and percussive elements, creating eclectic mixes that flow with intention. She layers in juicy sound journeys that ignite the heart and stir the soul.

Just a reminder our Friday DJ nights kick off TOMORROW, August 14th, from 4–6 PM!

Come down to Lerwick Skatepark, grab your board, hang out and enjoy the sounds of DJ LION!

Bio:
DJ LION is a 12-year-old DJ and emerging producer with four years of live performance experience. He had an early start in the music scene, attending festivals before he was born and making his first appearance at just four months old. Raised around music festivals and live events, he developed a natural connection to electronic music and began mixing seriously in late 2022. Under early mentorship from DJ and producer Aspen King, DJ LION quickly built strong technical foundations and musical confidence, progressing from daily practice to public performances within months. His sets blend UK Garage, Drum & Bass, Tech House, and Bass House, creating energetic dancefloor moments that connect with both youth and festival audiences.
