Brain Injuries can happen to anyone of any age.

Summer Day Camp Counsellor

Position Type: Seasonal / Summer Employment

Location: Cremona FCSS

Wage: $15-$18/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking energetic, responsible, and caring Summer Day Camp Counsellors to help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children ages 6–12 years old during our summer day camps. Counsellors will lead and supervise activities, encourage participation, and support positive social interactions among campers.

This is an excellent opportunity for youth who enjoy working with children, being active outdoors, and contributing to a positive community experience.

Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children ages 6–12 in a safe and inclusive environment
Lead and assist with daily camp activities including:
Outdoor games and sports
Crafts and creative activities
Nature walks and outdoor exploration
Group activities and team-building games
Encourage positive behaviour and respectful interactions between campers
Ensure camper safety during all activities and transitions
Assist with camp setup, cleanup, and organization of supplies
Communicate respectfully with campers, parents/guardians, and fellow staff
Report any concerns, incidents, or injuries to supervisors promptly

Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Enjoy working with children and youth
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
Ability to participate in active outdoor programming
Emerging communication and leadership skills
Previous experience working with children is considered an asset
Standard First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset

Working Conditions
Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions
Active role involving walking, games, and physical activity
Canada Day, Tuesdays and Thursday 9am-4pm for July and August
