We're pleased to announce the signing of a Mutual Benefits Agreement (MBA) between Paladin Canada and Birch Narrows Dene Nation (BNDN) for the Patterson Lake South (PLS) Project.

The MBA will cover the lifespan of the PLS Project, which lies within BNDN traditional territory in the southwestern Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. It details how Paladin Canada and BNDN will work together to shape and share in the economic and social benefits that the development of the Project will bring to the region.

Paladin Energy MD and CEO, Paul Hemburrow said: “We are pleased to reach this important agreement with the BNDN and our goal is to be a good neighbour and long-term partner with their community in Saskatchewan, so that they receive a positive benefit from the development of the Project for many years to come.”

I was up at a pop-up watercraft inspection for Aquatic Invasive Species at the Waskesui turn-off on highway 2 yesterday.
The team of Conservation Officers and team from Environment were busy inspecting and informing boat owners about AIS.
Happy to hear that 95% of boat owners are doing everything right with Clean-Drain-Dry your boat and the other 5% are just unaware but learning.
It was also great to be joined by members from the Waskesui Chamber of Commerce, Marina and Park biologist. They are also committed to keeping their lake free of AIS and businesses thriving.

Thank you RM of Prince Albert for the invite to your Ratepayers Appreciation. It is always great to catch up with neighbours in the municipality, Council members and RM staff. The mini trade show was good to browse, many unique and coming soon businesses in the RM and the burgers were on point! Well done!

I was fortunate to attend a historical day with Premier Scott Moe, Hon. Alana Ross,
Hon. Eric Schmaltz, Hon. Ken Cheveldayoff, Speaker Todd Goudy and MLA Kevin Kasun for the Commemoration of 150 years of the signing of Treaty 6 at Fort Carlton today.
There were Chiefs from all First Nations in Treaty 6, Crown representatives, Federal and Provincial government representatives, RCMP, Municipal leaders and a large crowd on hand to commemorate this important signing.
The original parchment Treaty 6 was written on was brought from Ottawa and on display…..special to see.
Thank you to the Elders, Knowledge Keepers and Drummers and a special shout out to Kelly Bear from Muskoday FN, an eagle staff carrier, it was great to catch up with you!
Thank you to the Office of Treaty Commissioner for your organization and oversight of this historical weekend. Also thank you to our Provincial Parks, Fort Carlton is breath taking and in good hands.

Finally got to see coal mining in action down near Estevan with Minister of Energy/Resources Chris Beaudry and Minister of Rural and Remote Health Lori Carr (also the MLA for Estevan Big Muddy). Thank you to the Westmorland Coal crew for the full tour and conversation.
It was also great to see all the reclamation of land, added wetlands and its return to area farmers and ranchers. These areas also support an abundance of wildlife and reclamation happens on a continual basis.
Westmorland and SaskPower support generations of employment in the area and across the province. Thank you for providing Saskatchewan with reliable and affordable power for years to come.

The latest statistics from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation show Saskatchewan's housing starts increased 23.9% in July, ranking second among the provinces. Each new housing project creates jobs, attracts investment and supports local businesses, helping drive economic growth in communities across the province.
